GEO BON Workshop at the World Biodiversity Forum in Davos

I enjoyed a week in Davos to attend the talks and discussions at the WBF. I also co-hosted a GEO BON workshop with colleagues from NASA and ESA on the design of Biodiversity Observation Networks. The workshop was well attended and stimulated wide ranging discussions on how countries can implement BONs to support biodiversity monitoring for the National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans. This effort is closely tied with GEO BON’s support to the Parties of the UN CBD. GEO BON will publish guidelines on establishing BONs.
